Explaining VolunTEENism

For anyone who really knows me, understands how much I love a good pun! So when I was finding a name for this series of articles, I could NOT resist combining 'Volunteerism' and 'Teen'. And that simple combination is simply what this is all about. VolunTEENism is a simple play on words with the belief in promoting community service by teens to encourage others teens to seek similar opportunities. The volunTEENism articles feature everyday teens with extraordinary goals and platforms. From personal experience, when I serve in my community, I am inspired and gain creativity from the examples of my peers. By showcasing real examples, the goal is to encourage, inspire, and motivate other teens to get involved. Because we, as young adults, have the ability to change the world!   The first two articles are already out! My goal is to find a different teen for every state in the country, and ultimately promote volunteering for younger generations!
